Totally looks like it, similar to what that previous video of the guy hacking the car may have been able to do at that speed.
Dude it's a total "accident". It's just happenstance he wrote freaked out emails to WikiLeaks hours before and of course the NSA wouldn't be monitoring WikiLeaks emails or phones.

Fuckin' conspiracy theorists.

His friends and family said he was somebody who would "drive like a grandma" and in the footage of the crash it looks like his car was pushing top speeds. I just can't see someone as intelligent as Michael Hastings driving like damn maniac pushing the top speed of his car. Nobody knows enough to say one way or another, but the whole scenario is highly questionable.

It really isn't. Not one single thing points to this conspiracy. No evidence or witnesses or whistleblowers or anything. It is fabricated entirely in the minds of delusional people. Here is what happened: Someone died in a car crash. He had unfinished work, as people will when they die. The Internets, having seen too many movies, have decided these things are connected! After all, no one ever dies in car crashes! Or without accomplishing everything they had told other people they were working on! THIS IS MADNESS! Literally not one single piece of evidence points to anything other than he died in a car crash.

And LOL Rand Paul. He and his father are the perfect example of the cure being worse than the disease.

Because every reckless driver drives the same when their mother or coworkers are in the car...
Because paranoid "I'm going off the grid!" guys drive normally...
etc etc

Although given the way some grandmas drive, that may not be a compliment either

I mean that's the thing.

Could an electronic device exist which a person or organization could use to remotely crash a car? That is possible.
Could a journalist find some information which is professionally embarrassing to a powerful person or organization? That is possible.

It's taking those two conceivable possibilities, connecting them in the most paranoid way it ispossibleto connect them, and then flailing around by calling it a theory which is a problem. It's straight out of an episode of Dr. Who.

It is literally straight out of an episode of Doctor Who. The one with the little troll warriors. The Sardonian Stratagem, or something like that.

Unless they planted that there, because that's what they want us to think. Oh god, it isn't the NSA. It's the British.

Well I see where you're coming from here, but this wasn't just somebody who died in a car crash. He was by far the most outspoken mainstream journalist when it came to the entire military/security industrial complex. This is why there are a lot of conspiracy theory's surrounding his crash.

I think murdering someone by hacking their car leaves a lot of room for error, as far as assassination attempts go...

not really you could use computers to simulate probabilities based on vectors in real time and keep the %'s high.

You're rewriting history here. He is not at all the most outspoken critic of the military/industrial complex. That guy from the Guardian doesn't count? You're telling me they could have killed any Al Qaeda leader anytime they stepped foot into a vehicle, but somehow they reserve this technology for offing journalists who make vague claims about having a big story? The whole thing is nonsense.

And like all outspoken critics of the government or military, he was quickly FUCKING MURDERED. Using experimental craziness that you people just fucking heard of. It all makes sense now.
