But on the other hand, Sofia has nothing to bargain with Oz about except safe passage for his mom. If she uses the kid as a bargaining chip, I'm sure Oz will tell her to fuck off. It's gonna be the mom that turns this whole thing upside down.

I bet Oz kills his own mom and that's the catalyst for him becoming a supervillain. He lets go of his last little bit of humanity.

It's already been foreshadowed with her asking him to do it because of her alzheimers.

Maybe he sacrifices his mom to take out Sophia and/or Sal.

The mom is portrayed as pretty annoying, but Oz really loves her, probably because she is all that he has left. I don't think he really gives a fuck about the money or even the power. I think he just wants people to respect him as a good person. That's all he seems to want from his mom too. Just acknowledge he is quality and not some runner up to his brothers who she clearly loves more than him.

Yea, that point was mentioned with the Falcone kid (the druggy) earlier, right? But it just doesnt match up with a lot of the shit he does. He may ultimately want to be loved and respected, but his choices in the series so far do not make him that. So it kind of felt like, to me anyways, that it was a ham-fisted way of trying to give him a villain arc.

It doesnt ruin anything for me, just dont enjoy that "angle" that they are very lightly pushing.

Farrell deserves all the awards for this. He is literally lost in the role. Overall It think the show has been pretty outstanding.

They did do something like this in Gotham, maybe that's a character arc for Penguin in the comics too, no idea.

Supposedly there are references to the Elliot family in episode 3 and Batman fans are saying that Hush is being hinted at.

I can't think of one show that's on the same level in 2024, makeup/costume writing/ acting should be wins
