Damn. Penguin strangling Vic to death like that was absolutely ice cold.
They didn't have the balls to have him kill the hooker though. Which is pretty pathetic.
I liked that he walked off the end with his top hat. Should have done a nod to his umbrella weapons too though.

I haven’t had time to start it, but I’m pretty sure they confirmed there’s a season 2 yesterday as well as Colin Farrell being in Batman 2 as well as another DC project they didn’t name.

Just finished it, and it wasn't the ending I was necessarily hoping for.
Honestly enjoyed how Vic and Oz's relationship had grown over the course of the season, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. It was pretty brutal though.
Probably one of the best shows I've watched in a long time. I'm looking forward to the next Batman film and if they can roll everything into it, should be pretty fantastic. Can't imagine they won't do another season especially if it wins a bunch of awards. But it's nice that it's an encapsulated single shot narrative that has the ability to go other places.

They showed a true psychopath. The sign of a great show is when you feel invested in its story. I was fucking pissed at the ending but that was exactly what a psychopath would do.

Excellent ending. He did Vic dirty but that stuttering mope was the low point of the show acting wise. I was much more invested emotionally in the Sophia scene.

I honestly dont think it would be all that bad if Joker was put into the same gritty, realistic, mobster type of vibe as the Penguin.
I personally dont like this batman, but I think thats more to do with it being Robert Pattinson, rather than how the character is portrayed.
I also dont like how the "suspected" Joker was played, but that could be that I dont like the actor Barry Keoghan. (Like that video said, Salt Burn was just over the top gay as fuck.)
I think the world they are building in "this" particular universe is great. My stepdad LOVES mobster movies and wouldnt touch a Batman show with a 10 foot pole, and after watching The Penguin - I'm pleading with him to give it a chance. I am just really down / interested, in an adult version of Batman in a realistic world.
