Still, still bullish.

Disclaimer: this post in the shit posting thread from someone unfairly and inaccurately labelled an autistic, degenerate dog fucker does not constitute financial advice. If you decide to forgo your daily supersize McDonald's in order to invest based on posts written here then you take all responsibility for any loss that might occur whilst also agreeing to give Ossoi Ossoi all the credit when the stock hits $4+
If it went any lower, I could buy the whole company with a payday loan

Their market cap is $90m, but you'd also be buying their debt

That RKLB call is now up 40%......very temping to walk away but it's a January call!

I don't want to put a trail on it because the price movement is sporadic and small so unless the trail is huge it is likely to get hit by a less than dollar move on the underlying :(

I've made this stupid mistake before though where I think something has legs and before I know it my 40% is zero and I feel like a moron. I don't think it will dip in the next day or two so I will sleep on it over the weekend.
Wow that was SUCH a brilliant play. Araysar Araysar did you also take advantage of RKLB? I’ve been discussing its potential for mooning months now..

Araysar Araysar Questions....

  • I thought I read one of your posts that said you want to make 1% a day. Did I actually read that?(too lazy to scroll through posting history). If so is it 1% of whatever you trade, 1% of some amount you play with, 1% of entire portfolio?
  • Ignoring the long term complexity of compounding interest, but taking your "time is money" comment above, why is 1% a day ok but 5% in a week or 40% in a month not? You somewhat made jest at the RKLB position but I just checked, I bought it on 6/25. That's 3 weeks ago(almost to the day) and it's up 40%, by all measures a good play. Or were you more talking about Foler saying it will "moon in months"?
  • I assume you have the time/capability/interest in trading becoming a full time thing? One of the reasons I never went for daily trading is because of my job. I have plenty of time to do some research and make a few picks, check on them once/twice a day and make necessary adjustments, but I don't have the capacity to sit and watch tickers.....at least yet. Do you mind if I ask what your long term goal is? To trade as a profession, hit a certain account value to live off interest, buy a house/car?

My goal is to net 1% every day with my available trading capital for that day. This amount changes significantly and regularly. Sometimes I have money tied up in swing trades, sometimes I only trade with my personal account or my 401K account, but the goal is 1% gain every day. Often times it is my entire trading portfolio.

It just doesnt fit my risk profile and philosophy.

I'll take 5% in a week just the same as 1% a day and I'd happily take 40% a month every time. My problem is that

1. RKLB not a well known stock
2. There's no guarantee of a large consistent return.

Because of that, it would seem to be a poor decision for me from a risk management perspective and a money-time perspective. I can be reasonably certain that I'll get 3-5% a week just day trading my usuals. So do I roll the dice on RKLB for 3 weeks with a good possibility of getting nothing, or do I just do my thing and almost guarantee myself a 10-25% in return in same 3 weeks?

My goal is to quit working in the next few years to do this full time for the rest of my life. Its a profession I can do until my mind turns into Joe Biden's and I dont have to answer to anyone or depend on anyone. Best of all, I enjoy it. Its perfect for me.

Made $850 today playing the open on a $38K TSLA position, just a little over 2%. Done for the day.

Interesting, thanks for the legit reply. I would absolutely love to see a consolidation post at the end of the year from you. Could be a real motivator for many here.

EOY is a long time away, but halfway through the year I am up 70% in one of my accounts. That's a little over half a percent a day.

That sounds like a failure compared to your 1% daily goal my dude. Have you considered trading options on margin to make up ground?

Bro, if I was hitting 1% every day, I would just move the goal up to 2% a day

That's why its called a goal.

Easy to make fun and time will tell if he holds that rate until end of the year or even year over year, but if he does 70% a year is something I think any of us would be ok with.

when I had little money making 15% of 1000$ felt like it almost wasn’t worth the effort but was doable on many trades with time and research.
I do have to be more careful now as even a 50k options trade can be half the liquidity of some stocks(and no not penny stocks). Which means you can caught even on moves in your desired direction. Usually you can get out via market makers with a .05 or less opportunity cost but that also means I need it to move an extra .05 to cover the lack of liquidity.
Anyway I enjoy the strategy discussion and trade sharing that goes on here. Entire point of this forum and not Reddit with random garbage posts.

Back at $3 after hitting $2 on 5 July. I am holding as I expect it to go higher after the next earnings. Regretting not buying more at $2 but I put some money into NVDA which hasn't paid off yet
