Robot Dick line was fucking gold if you ask me.
It was bad. Not because the line is bad but because none of the actors have any chemistry, none of them feel like real people delivering real lines, none of them do anything but Eeyore every fucking line even the ones meant to be at all interesting, charming, bemusing, electric, interesting, anything at all.
The feminism quip? Way to shit on a line!
It's seriously like they're all hoping to almost win awards for best drama and they think the best way to do it is act like they've just slit their wrists and are bleeding out just as the punch in a line is about to be delivered.
More freeways.
The back-and-forth between characters is so stilted not even they seem to believe it. And if it's not awkward chemistry, it's just looking back and forth at each other like someone just farted. I don't care how dirty these cops are, how shitty their lives are, how depressed, at some point when being put completely inexplicable on an investigation you at least say 'hey, what's up, shall we at least bring some donuts' you don't just stare each other down every scene hoping they're giving out Oscars for best anti-social brooder.
VV was better, though, except for his monologue at the beginning.... oh, wait, there was another character on screen? There's at least a little chemistry and electricity to his dialog with a few other characters, just still not really with Velcro in the bar where that poor girl plays to empty crowds.
