you're like a god damn singularity of misery. seriously how do you spend so much time being a miserable cunt tearing shit apart. go and do something positive with your life. fucking christ.Farrell has had the most best parts, but he's had a lot of bad parts too, and I don't personally find him very interesting as an actor. He can't consistently deliver a line with any level of charm, humor, quirk, or nuance. His range goes from brooding seriousness tinged with anger, to brooding seriousness lined with anger and a louder voice. In that pocket he's pretty good at what he does, but it's one dimensional and flat. It would maybe be more interesting if all the other leads weren't trying the exact same approach when it's even more out of their comfort zones, but still, that doesn't make him great, he just isn't as terrible as the others who are even more limited or have even worse parts.
Just ignore that moonbat.you're like a god damn singularity of misery. seriously how do you spend so much time being a miserable cunt tearing shit apart. go and do something positive with your life. fucking christ.
Thinking Colin Farell isn't a great actor, especially with this shoddy script, doesn't exactly take much misery to believe.you're like a god damn singularity of misery. seriously how do you spend so much time being a miserable cunt tearing shit apart. go and do something positive with your life. fucking christ.
Do you think tonight's episode will be as good as episode 5? I sure hope so! I look forward to your critique!Just ignore that moonbat.
Cant wait for tonights episode.
Not that you ever answered my question:Yea ep 5 was pretty good. Next ep is probably gonna be good as well.
What a lot people dont put into perspective is the format. When you only have one season (8 episodes at that) its difficult to develop character arcs and story elements. The time constraints cause the showrunners to make tough decisions and sometimes the pacing and overall quality suffer.
You may be on to something. Care to explain in more depth?
Show us on the doll where True Detective touched you. Its the only explanation for your being so invested in hating this show.Farrell has had the most best parts, but he's had a lot of bad parts too, and I don't personally find him very interesting as an actor. I agree he's the best actor in a show that did no favors for the actors. I still don't think he's been grat, though, for reasons stated. Am still enjoying the show and his performance just fine, but being serviceable on a bad show doesn't mean he's suddenly great. He's not. He just really isn't a great actor, is sometimes good, and is mostly just serviceable in this. Too many people over-compensating to the criticism by trying to claim he's been completely amazing in this, when really he hasn't, just done better than the others with less forgiving roles.i assumed pops was joking about farrell. hes the only really good thing about this show. if you cant enjoy him then you need to re-assess your motives for watching this show
I don't put people on ignore and your posts here are a black hole sucking the whole forum to your posts.I thought you were ignoring me?
How miserable do you have to be to claim over and over you're ignoring someone, but not, so you can continue to read things that affect you so negatively so you can then make unfunny jokes about them hating the show in a discussion that all you manage to contribute to is by claiming you're ignoring them when you aren't. Really, how miserable is that, grumblethorn?
farrell's big problem is that he isnt very particular about picking roles, so ends up doing a lot of shit movies and it makes him look like a shitty actor, even though he is a fine actor.I agree he's the best actor in a show that did no favors for the actors. All the actors have had good moments, which makes me not really blame them so much as what they've been given to work with. Even scenes like the early Vaugh 'hey buddy what happened' scene and the latest in the kitchen over coffee make me think he wasn't miscast, so much as just doesn't have a good script or direction to help him along, because those two scenes were really good, whereas there's really only so much you can do with a drawn out monologue staring at a water stain while laying perfectly still.
