Yes, the first 3ish or so episodes were pretty slow. However, pretty much from then on the show was pretty good. It sucks for some people (Pop, chuck) that they became so invested into hating it that they couldn't enjoy the latter part of the season.

Add me to the list of folks who found this season convoluted garbage. The entire season was barely audible whispers of incomprehensible plot. Little to no humor, little to no tits, little to no care for the characters or the criminal they were hunting.

Comment about The Wire is spot on. I wish this show would have stuck to the vaguely supernatural angle. It's what set it apart and made half of the complete nonsense work.

And the 'light's winning' at the end all wrapped it up with a surprisingly happy ending.

This was so the opposite of a happy ending, haha.

People who don't like the show just don't really understand season 2 at its core. Season 1 was a crime thriller, but season 2 was a romantic drama. The sex ring, murders, land deals, and crime stuff were all antecendant to the heart of season 2: Antigone's search for a cock of sufficient girth. She finally found it in the finale with Ray Velcoro, who tragically dies but not before his super sperm manages to impregnate her with more soulless ginger children to plague the Earth.

The tragedy was that Frank never managed to get Velcoro to cuckold him with his woman, then the end could have had two Velcoro offspring in Venezuela.

Its also a subtle condemnation of the racism in the police force in America. Antigone never quenched her love of big girthy dicks until Velcoro, which means she never lay with a black man. The more overt display of racism was also on display for the slower people, shown by the black police chief being shot by a bunch of white cops while a young white guy in a hoodie was stabbing him. A powerful metaphor for Trayvon Martin.

Not trying to be a dick but people are usually hostile towards me because of grammar or me not articulating myself properly. I understand this season was flawed, but Velcoros performance along with some of the corruption stuff made this a memorable experience for me.

Anyway, looks like Velcoros dad predicted his death down to the last detail.

The main murder and the religious guy are discovered but the majority of the people in the video are never caught or exposed. They never even figure out how deep it goes.

Basically the same thing as the mom finding out Ray was the father too. Just another dagger to drive home how fucked Velcoro had it. The almost saying I love you or whatever he was going to say to Mcadams too was part of this. The only really good thing Ray had in the end was he got the closure he wanted by seeing his son (who he didn't care if he was the biological father or not of, he loved him like he was his son) carrying around the shield he gave him and the salute they shared.

Plenty of stuff I thought dragged the season down some, but overall I enjoyed it. I liked Frank by the end, and him and Ray dying seemed inevitable but it worked in the end. Seems weird they couldn't turn the evidence over without having to go all secret meeting down in South America but story really was mostly about the corruption and how fucked they all were in the end. Crazy that Woodrugh gets a highway named after him and Velcoro ends up always pinned as his murderer.

Everyone knew what was up. Basically every named character and most of the unnamed characters, except for our 4 plucky heroes, was in on everything.

Last thing I "griped" about - Those Mercs were shit. 4 get taken down by Paul. 2 get killed by Velcoro. Thought these guys were black ops.

Also maybe next time you just fucking put some electrical tape over the transponders LED.

burris is also the devil, he knew exactly where and when gaycop was going to be so he could ambush him and he knew exactly where and when velcoro was going to go so he could install the iron grip transponder with the giant red light bulb. too bad ray didnt go into a parking garage and lose them completely
