I have tried to explain for years that churches are more like history lessons smashed together with self help lessons instead of fire-and-brimstone; it falls on deaf ears to anyone that has made up their mind about church already.

I’m just saying some rapes will happen with any large enough group. I’ve never seen any evidence that religious people have any more or less tendency to do so. Obviously it’s bad, but framing a hatred of religion around that point is ignorant.
