It's ok, because those they burned alive with white phosphorous aren't "their own citizen".

Obama is about as useless as the UN always has been. So much for that whole change approach...well until he decides to try and do exactly what Bush did before him.

Does it have to be gassing?

What if IDF is just sniping civilians by the thousands?

Looks like putin is a better US president than barry. Might as well declare defeat and let the russkies take over.

If Assad hands over all chemical weapons, America will just say that he didn't hand over all of them and then ask him to prove a negative, same thing that they did with Saddam.

It's a no win situation for Assad. He's better off holding on to them and then threatening to cover Israel in Sarin if the West attacks him
I has to at least cross Assad's mind thatGadaffi gave up his chemical weapons, and that didn't save him.

(I know they found a tiny cache of them after the war, but honestly nobody knew about it and he never used it even in the face of death, so for all practical purposes they didn't exist)

That comparison may hold more weight once Israel falls into civil war, gasses its own citizens, risks having its arms fall into terrorist hands, and becomes an authoritarian regime.
Does a 7 decade long apartheid state qualify as an "authoritarian regime"?

Remember when Israel shelled a hospital with white phosphorus? Pepperidge Farm Remembers
Remember the thousands of women and children killed by US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan? Remember Abu Ghraib? Remember Iran flight 655? Remember systematic torture of civilians during the Vietnam war and the use of Agent Orange? I guess the US is as bad as Syria then?

Shit happens in war. Innocents die. Mistakes happen that cost lives. The difference between Syria and the US is that the former intentionally targets civilians while the latter doesn't.

If you think Israel intentionally bombs hospitals I would encourage you to visit the region. Not going to get sucked into yet another "Zionists rule the world" debate, but I'll just say that despite whatever "crimes" you feel Israel has committed, I'll still support the only country in the middle east not looking to blow Americans up, which also happens to be the only middle eastern country that actually develops technology, medicine, and all the other good stuff that actually improves the world as a whole.

Plus not to mention stealing peoples land and colonizing it is expressly forbidden by the UN.

would you want an islamic apartheid state or a jewish apartheid state?
Can't we just have good old fashioned Fascist and Communist states, like our grandparents did?

Those were the really classy tyrannical dictatorships, in my opinion.

Just look how snazzy these fuckers looked.

At least when the Germans gassed their own citizens, they did that shit with style and panache.

Yeah, uh, that's my point. Are you retarded or what?
Your point was unclear because it was totally unrelated to mine. The ACA was challenged and upheld. My point was that Congress wont risk a direct challenge to presidental overstep of the WPA because they risk losing the little power they have. Its why they didnt go after Clinton after Kosovo. The situations have little in common. Congress or private citizens have nothing to lose in going after ACA.

Im not sure why so many people lack the basic skills to communicate and act like people who have a different opinion have somehow personally aggrieved them, but whatever. Its a shame though, we all come here to debate for fun, acting like a shithead for the sake of being one neither makes any of your points valid or does anything but make you look like a tool to anyone with a maturity level over the level of a frat boy.

Just fyi: Rebel groups in Syria looted several chemical weapons depots last December
You have incomplete information. The fighting around that military base was going on for weeks. It started in September and ended in November. Right up until the end the Syrian Army was able to airlift in supplies by helicopter.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/1...n_2270620.html

Maybe you suppose they forgot them? Or maybe.... Just maybe the Syrian left them there ON PURPOSEFUL because they then knew the rebels would only use them on themselves and the syrians knew they could get away with gassing the rebels.. BY NOT GASSING THEM..

I also enjoyed how you decided to exercise editorial prudence and call the base, where they only confirmed testing chemical weapons at some point, a depot. They have other places that have been clearly identified as chemical weapons storage facilities. But you can just make shit up to support your point I guess. Interesting.

So, looks like your argument that the rebels couldn't or didn't have access to these weapons to use them is pretty much just flat out stupid.
Its sad that you feel that needing some sort of evidence to back up your conspiracy theory is stupid, but whatever.. 9/11 Truth!

They're the only ones with a REASON to use them. Not Assad's men, not Assad. Assad is winning. There's no need to gas his people. The rebels, on the other hand, have no qualms with using those types of weapons, especially the non Syrian jihadists.
http://www.csmonitor.com/World/terrorism-security/2013/0909/Report-claims-chemical-weapons-used-in-Syria-without-Assad-s-approval-video_sl said:
German newspaper Bild am Sonntag reported yesterday that intercepted Syrian regime communications indicate that a chemical weapons attack did occur ? but without Assad's approval.

The Guardian reports that a German surveillance ship operated by Berlin's intelligence service heard regime forces repeatedly request permission to use chemical weapons but that Assad "blocked numerous requests."

But the intercepts tended to add weight to the claims of the Obama administration and Britain and France that elements of the Assad regime, and not renegade rebel groups, were responsible for the attack in the suburb of Ghouta, Bild said.

?
Then why do the Germans have intercepted communication from the Syrian army begging to use them? I though they had no reason to.... You think the Germans are in on the conspiracy?

Thanks, and have a great night pal.
