So in Obama's address he says we're going the peaceful route with Syria. Either this rabbit hole goes deeper and a false flag operation occurs or Eyashusa is getting a huge Obama peace prize avatar.
His face is saved.

Couldn't listen to the whole thing. I listened to a little bit but... it was just too fucking slimy. Please stop pretending to give a shit about civilian casualties in middle eastern countries, and please stop lecturing me about chemical weapons being the greatest evil ever invented. Please just cut that shit out. And that's what it felt like, a lecture about how we should be dropping bombs but since the nation isn't as brave as Obama is I guess this is ok too.

Threatening to do something crazy and stupid then not doing it doesn't score you points.

He'd have been better off with me to have just left it where he left it yesterday.

"Yes, this an acceptable solution. No, the process does not have to start immediately but it must start soon. That's all we wanted."

If this was barry's master plan then why was so gungho for bombings and red lines? Yeah Putin rules and barry drools.

People in Russia hate Putin now. he did great things with the economy and poverty, but that seemed like a while ago now, as the GDP has stagnated and seemingly simple things like civil rights issues are a big problem for a lot of people there. Not only that but his blatant bullying of opposition (is Kordokhovsky still locked up?) and seemingly endless desire to be the man in charge in "his" country is more obvious than ever. He will probably change the rule of law again allowing him to run in 2018 or however the fuck long he changed the presidents term.

I seriously will vote for the craziest motherfucker that the Republican party is able to nominate if Kerry tries to run for President. I'll start a blog about it. I'll write letters to my representatives and the heads of the parties. I'll flagrantly disregard the law and take photos of myself doing it in the voting booth.

I'll even donatemoney.Actual U.S. currency.

Putin is doing a good job of making Russia relevant again. That's probably appealing to a lot of them. Yea, he's been dicking with the law to maintain his position, but the people might see the opposition as equally tyrannical but less effective. Hopefully whatever effect he has is worth the diminishment of the presidential legitimacy as whoever eventually replaces him will benefit from whatever powers he's amassed for the office.

Going head to head with Obama over Syria and winning has zero downsides for him.

His approval rating by his own doctored polls show its at the lowest its been since he first took office.

Im not saying he lost the country or anything, but there is a good amount of Russian citizens who are worried about the government. I mean, you cant ignore his actions towards opposition the last 3-4 years, if not his entire time in high office. I actually like Putin myself, but I think my point about him not being as popular as he once was stands.

You should probably also bear in mind that Putin has been systemically squashing contrarian journalism. At least if you believe NPR and his own courts.

So it's kinda like... yeah, but... Stalin had high approval ratings as well.

Not that I see Putin actually took any hits here. He fended off a remarkably bald case of attempted American aggression.

Isn't the Putin administration publicly blaming the gays for all the bad things in Russia so whipping up the witch hunt type feelings or some such.

Yea, the LGBT suppression/insurgency is getting warm pretty quick. The Winter Olympics are coming up in February in Russia, so it's probably going to be a very big topic at that point. From some stuff I've read, Russia's actions are incentivizing western gay political lobbies to join together just to publically take a shit on Russia.

They're not "publically blaming them for everything".

Where do you even get that from?

All the anti-LGBT laws and sentiment that has been growing past few years.

Wouldn't be the first time a political group has, when things are going unfortunate socially or economically, blamed an underclass.

Russia is doing well socially and economically and they are not blaming gays for "everything"
