I kinda do but I kinda don't. I really loved Mordheim in theory but the problem was all the memorable bits make it really hard to enjoy as a game since it was cinematically focused rather than balanced. There are a lot of feels bad gambling rolls where sometimes you just get screwed and your leader gets killed off screen by bad dice which provides everyone else a laugh, and other times you get handed crazy stuff. I think they've learned a bit from Necromunda, but again your narrative comes from investment into imbalance and interest rather than a tight gameplay.

I think I want some combination of KT, Mordheim and Inquisitor set in 40k universe. But I also would want GW to make new character kits which are effectively more like the old box. If you remember the old SM commander box, it was like the one dude but had tons of different arms and weapon options and helmets and whatever. To me a game made up of Mordheim style with Inq aesthetics and RP, and KT rules to streamline the gameplay would be nearly perfect as a better DnD.

Alas...
Agreed on the balance. It has to be modernized. But, Mordheim and Gorka Morka are my two favorite experiences from the GW past. More so than the 4 WHFB and 40K armies I had and the hundreds of battles with our friend group.

these days, skirmish is so much more digestible due to time constraints and each model becomes much more important. The RPG element of those two old games was great and there was tons of replay ability.

While I havent done it myself, I've heard nothing but good things about narrative campaigns for Kill Team.

Is there even a campaign structure in any of the books today?
I believe a lot of the campaign is in the core rules book for this edition of kill team, and also narrative missions for the the terrain/settings (ie octarius, gallowdark, bheta decima, etc etc), and then each bespoke faction has their campaign rules, rewards & equipment that they can take.

Roadmaps tonight, betting odds on a third of it being redacted anyway?
Does anyone actually care now for the mainline games now that they're all predictable 3 year editions for everything? Especially when the roadmap gets delayed.

It's not like they're going to be rocking the world with crazy stuff like expansions, new armies, etc.

Specialist games are more interesting since I'm always suspecting they will get and kill off any of them at will. Unfortunately WHFB is also so early I'm guessing they'll just be noting they're just bringing out old stuff still for the immediate future.

The only thing I'm caring about right now is KT 3.0 and possibly something crazy like Epic 40k (never happening though).

Almost done with 5x incursor and desolation squad. Watch there be another big points change hours after I finish again!

Not sure how to fix. When i get home need to see if the gun will clamshell open. Came off the model but not busted, looks like the nub pulled free from the socket but i can't get enough force to pop it i in without breaking off a shoulder pad or something. Like the nub seems too wide to have come off hence my guess i didn't notice i could pry it apart?
