Croutons are the best part. When I go to Ruby Tuesday (one of the few remaining salad bars) my salad consists of croutons, ham strips, cheese, and blue cheese dressing. It's heavenly.Put lettuce in it. Skip the crouts if you can.
I'm 5'11 1/2" half a gd inch from 6ft!Good job. I'd say it's a win any time your weight goes up but your body fat goes down. I don't remember if you mentioned it before: how tall are you?
Make sure you keep downing the coconut oil to continue shaving off that body fat!
If you're buying those salads at restaurants be really careful, some of them have insanely high calories. You can't be too careful, better put some garlic on that coconut oil.
I have been eating better (salads with grilled chicken, no snacks at night) and my weight went up like 6 pounds in one week. Not really sure what happened, but guess I'll continue this way and see what happens. Not really counting calories or anything, just trying to make smarter choices. I'm definitely feeling better, so that's what matters. Going to try to start hitting the gym this week, I keep putting it off.
Strange side effect, after switching my diet I've been doing nothing but extremely hard and big dumps, I like to call them "ass splitters". Probably need more fiber, not sure.
I have one of those scales that sends the electrical signal through your body, I know it's not supremely accurate but it gives me something to work from. I usually take 3 measurements and use the average, almost every time all 3 measurements are the same. What are you using to measure body fat?
Wakandan please if I go to a restaurant I sure as hell am not buying a salad. I make these myself. If you're buying those salads at restaurants be really careful, some of them have insanely high calories.
Someone brought one of those in to work during the last staff biggest loser it seemed pretty good and was thinking of getting one for home.I have one of those scales that sends the electrical signal through your body, I know it's not supremely accurate but it gives me something to work from. I have one at home and as I'm no longer getting my BF measured weekly with calipers by my PT it's a decent substitute FOR TRACKING PROGRESS. I don't think they're wildy inaccurate either - the readings from the device was always within 1% of that weeks caliper readingsThey're incredibly inaccurate. Don't even bother measuring your body fat unless you're going to do a bod pod or something. The best thing to do is take regular progress pictures so you can compare yourself to previous pictures, and to do tape measurements. Google body fat pictures to get a good idea of what someone your height and body fat looks like. That's honestly the best way to go about it (eyeballing it) outside of going somewhere to have it professionally done...and not with calipers.
1. Load up on sodium and water the day before and of the first testSo what do they give those people who already got their shit together and are at a healthy weight?
You're better off eating real food instead of a protein bar for lunch. You can eat a substantial amount of food for lunch and still stay under 400 calories and it will be better for you than eating a protein bar which is probably packed with god knows what else besides the protein. For instance this was my lunch today:I got into a "biggest loser" contest at work. 12 weeks and so far 1 week into it im down 4%, some other fucker was down 4.2% but I got this. The willpower is strong in this one. I need a new graphics card for my PC and the $400 or so will do just nicely.
All ive been doing is eating a 300-400 calorie protein bar at lunch and then a small dinner. Probably around 1500 calories a day if that. IF need be ill get my ass on one of the machines we have here at home, either the treadmill or the elliptical. But that's last resort shit there, lol.
