Been two weeks without eating sweets and I am harsh craving chocolate and ice cream. I am such a comfort eater and I've been stressed lately so this is torture. I feel like an addict. When does it get easier? lol
When you start smoking.

I buy those frozen diced up chickens made by tyson or whoever every week, the plain kind. I cook it all up (basically just heating it as it is already cooked) and put it in a container. I then throw lettuce, spinach, cucumbers, chicken, etc into a container every morning. Takes me approximately 3 minutes.

Don't worry lindz, my wife is the same way (and also named lindsey and uses lindz for short, it's weird). We started getting her this ice cream by Hood that's some low fat frozen yogurt - very limited flavors - but she actually likes it a lot. Has a lot lower sugar. I've tried it and it isn't bad, definitely doesn't have that no sugar taste. She's also had a lot of trouble giving up chocolate, it seems like a daily struggle still. After around 1 month it was a lot easier for her to contain herself though, she was definitely loading up sweets before that.

I know I could make a better effort, im just fucking lazy, thats all. All im doing this for is to get funds to get a new beefy video card. Im not really concerned about weight that much. Yeah I could stand to lose a few LBS, who couldnt? But its not like Im obese or anything. Last doc checkup was great. My blood is solid and body that of a (slightly overweight) roman god. Although I do have slightly elevated BP. But I attribute that to the wife and kids.

Why do you think you can't eat those things at all?

Try just a plain bowl of frozen berries with a little bit of 100% cocoa powder.

Or just have a bit of chocolate and some ice cream. That doesn't mean you have to binge on it. I realize the irony of me saying that considering I'm the king of binge eating, but whatever, it's true.

P.S. the craving never goes away. People who say it does never REALLY loved those things. Indulge!

*Edit* Just to add an example of how cravings never go away, I haven't had a cheesecake (one of my favorite meals ever) since last March, and yet I still find myself desperately craving one right now. I can practically taste it. So even after nearly a year of not having one I still get insane cravings for it.

Not sure about those ones specifically, but keep an eye on the sodium in those things. The ones I've seen have a ridiculous amount of it. They use it partly for flavoring, partly as a preservative.

Because I eat too much of them so the hope was cutting it out entirely would be easier than just limiting given my lack of willpower.
I'm sure if you've kept on this thread, you know my opinion on such things. I prefer to have control over what I'm eating rather than not trust myself to eat something. Counting calories allowed me to do that. The control and knowledge substituted for whatever sweets I wasn't getting while still allowing me to eat some. Knowing where exactly to stop(sugar and calories) or where you need to be(protein, and maybe for you, fat), can be fun sometimes.

But, according to some people here, I still eat too much sugar. So I'm probably going to get lung cancer, cook crystal meth, alienate my family, and kill myself with a ricocheted M60 bullet. Still worth it.

Yeah it's not actually Tyson, it's some other brand and it's one of those ones that has basically nothing at all in it. There's a little sodium but barely any. There's no seasoning or anything on the chicken, just plain and frozen. I can't think of the brand right now.

Just need to counter all that sugar with some garlic and you will live till 110.

Actually I read today that soaking some sliced Okra in a glass of water overnight then drinking it in the morning will reduce your blood sugar significantly. There's some people saying it cured their diabetes, but I find that hard to believe. I know that I had some Okra Lemon tea in Florida and it lowered my blood sugar significantly.

Okra + Garlic = invincible?

Science behind this? Or was it that you just didn't drink a sugared drink?

Really sounds like bullshit. You think if you could extract some magic blood sugar lowering medicine from soaking okra, some pharma giant couldn't do it as well? Remember to pound some baking soda the next time you get cancer.

The only pseudo-science I had was that my blood sugar was lower than usual. I only knew that it supposedly lowered blood sugar because there was a sign hanging from it that said so.

This is just a quick google:Okra and Blood Sugar | LIVESTRONG.COM

I'm not believing it is an all-out cure and I haven't tried it in the morning like many have suggested, so I don't know. Be warned if you google this you get a lot of hocus pocus lizardmen websites.

That seems like some strange logic. It's also why most people quit eating healthy (don't like to use the "diet" word since it has a negative connotation, as opposed to being "what you eat"). You start forcing yourself to eat shit you hate and avoid anything enjoyable and you'll eventually fail. Allowing yourself to enjoy something occasionally will make it much easier to make a real change.

This actually doesn't make much sense if you really are eating a lot of salad. If you eat alot of lettuce (especially iceberg or romaine) you're going to have very quick loose shits. You'll even see undigested lettuce in there. You eating chicken salad or actual salad?
Same thing happened to me since I basically cut out most starches. I ended up replacing them with a ton of greens, I eat greens for like 2 meals a day most days. I can confirm the ass splitters. The greens are usually spinach, romaine, arugula, and radicchio.

Had a 2 salads yesterday both with lettuce and had an ass splitter today. Not sure if related i think in my case it is more that i am eating less and so crapping less which means each shit is bigger. No science though.

As for eating sweets, counting calories helps me too, with that i know how much i can eat and not get too unhealthy. I usually also have a cheat day too where i eat some of the things i don't normally include during the week. I try not to go overboard but if im 5000 under my caloric intake for the week then a bowl of icecream isnt gonna kill me as long as it isnt a whole pint.
