They quietly put the radar back in if i recall correctly. I usually get my tesla updates from my co worker who has had all teslas but the truck. At work my boss has a id.4 - someone else the ioniq Hyundai and a Lightning.

With the tesla screen, and the visual of all the stuff- i wonder do other cars have all the same type of info for their safety systems and they are just not showing it to you?

Pretty much, yes. Most OEMs try to limit the information displayed to prevent things from being too distracting.

Meh, you just jelly because Porsche doesn't make cars with FRATZONIC CHAMBERED EXHAUST. <- This is what Dodge actually calls the speakers they use to mimic V-8 sound.

Replaced my european shitbox (1.2L 3 cylinder turbo / 130 hp, fwd) with an electric chinese one (awd, 422 hp). While the Volvo has some usability issues and software bugs that need to be solved, the difference in driving experience is amazing. I thought the missing driver's display was going to be the biggest annoyance but the signaling stalk took the crown. It's a momentary release switch like the BMW from the early 2010's that everyone hated.

I'm probably going to regret the 20" wheels and the light blue interior but I got it with a 20% discount just before the new EU tariffs hit so I ended up with 13k eur / 15k $ off the list price.

Fake engine noise is one of those things I cannot wrap my head around as to why anyone would want it. Drove one of the last V12 BMW 7 series and it had fake engine noise too, felt like someone took a nice steak and took a shit on it. Pearls cast before swine.

They're even starting to put fake engine noise in electric cars now.

I don't mind it in an EV so long as you can turn it off. The sound is missing when you accelerate and it's kind of fun to have that in small doses. It's better than the inverter whine you get on some.

On an ICE vehicle, especially a V12, I'm mixed. If you're piping in the actual sound into the cabin, I'm ok with it. If you're just adding fake stuff, that's a hard pass.

I think it started as the first couple years of the Prius were so quiet that people were getting run over in parking lots and stepping in front of them, etc.
