Got another fucking data breach letter today , from a medical records company of all places. I'll give it a month and then see if there is a class action against them. Fuck these places, I didn't ask to do business with them. It's always a '3rd party' not 'we're fucking cheap and use sub-sub-sub contractors so we get all the money and have to do none of the work' we forgot to patch the 486-SX-22 'server'. Cocksuckers.

Don't think so, my wife and I go to the same dentist and she didn't get one (yet). It's some company I've never heard of before today called Change Healthcare. There's a fucking laugh. They sent me a form 'we're sorry we're so incompetent, here's some work for you to do letters. Change Healthcare runs the billing backbone for like 75% of the healthcare system - medical offices, pharmacies, hospitals. They got hacked last year and the entire system ground to a halt for a few weeks.

And? I didn't decide to use them, just like I didn't decide to deal with Experian , and whateverthefuck that background company was called that sent me one of these form letters last month. They still gave away my data and sent me homework to cover my ass because they fucked up , but they are really sorry.

I'm rehabing a house. Moving lots of walls. The walls are plaster with lath behind. Removing all the walls I need to completely filled a dumpster, and the dumpster people are bitching about the weight.

No lead, but good point. It was built in the 1920s. Beautiful art deco details, a great place, will be a good starter home. But plaster and lath, cast plumbing, knob and tube electric. So, new plumbing, new electric, new floor plan, all good. Monday I have to remove and relocate the main plumbing stack for a lot of very good reasons. It's cast, so that will be an absolutely miserable job to pull out 20 feet of it.

Oh it was generic as hell so I'm guessing what they gave away is account info, credit card #'s etc. I don't really give a shit if anyone has my medical history (if you do not believe me go look at the health problems thread on this here board). To actually do yes, you (not them that gave your info away, YOU) get to freeze your credit in 3 different places with people you didn't decide to do business with , YOU get to go over your bank and CC statements with a fine tooth comb - you should already be doing it but that's beside the point. And if YOU want to actually you know use the credit you worked your whole life to build up, you have to go back to those same 3 companies you didn't decide to do business with and unfreeze your credit , then freeze it back. It still doesn't work. Once every month or so I get a letter saying they cannot finish my credit card application until I unlock my credit. Dammit you made me get back on my soapbox.
