when you get blinded, you just attack with a field aoe in front of you...which all the auto attacks are. it could be a thing if your using that autolock on target but thats a retarded option to have for their combat to start with and i cant fathom it remaining until release.
See, this is an example of posting something that's just plain stupid and why I can't take anything you post seriously.

When you're blinded in Wildstar, you lose something like 50% accuracy as a debuff so your attacks miss - of course you can just spray attack but you might land 1 out of 5 attacks that you're using. The point of the blind effect isn't for you to have a difficult time targeting anything, it's so that you get hit with a follow up telegraph by the NPC that blinded you or to force you to dodge in a direction that's potentially unsafe (Hint: most npcs follow up Blind with telegraphs that do a lot of damage to you. Double Hint: Sometimes, once you make it all the way passed level 10, they'll follow up with telegraphs that are structured to hit you if you just automatically dodged in the direction that looked safe.)

Do they have mez effects and content where they are actually used/useful. Coupling that with blind and people that keep shooting is probably fun - god knows it sounds like raiding with my guild back then.
honestly in the trip from 1-34 on the exiles side, ive run into blind twice.

while enemy telegraphs do a lot at lower levels, the range in damage is far to big at high levels to say they follow up with attacks that do a lot of it. Most telegraphs at higher levels do 2-4k out of a 15k hp pool. the ones that do an inordinate amount of damage are about to get hit by the nerf bat.

Do they not give friend codes on some beta accounts? Just got my other email unlocked and its not showing any on it?

I think they should QTE stun. I hate QTE's and they're a lazy mechanic, but I think adding a random key sequence to ONE CC ability break would be fine. It would allow people with good reflexes to do something rather than click their 2 minute stun break.

Also, the NDA breakers, which may be me, honestly, I'm not sure if I have or not, could easily be punished as Scooter the Community guy posts in this thread.

How forgettable is pvp going to be? Like GW2 forgettable where it's not really even fun to run around spamming shit like it doesn't matter, because it doesn't? Or Rift forgettable where it's fun when you're on the cutting edge of an overpowered build, or trick a few people a few times with an obscure build, but not really fun any other time?

They are constantly making it better every time I log in and I'm happy about that.

I don't expect them to revolutionize the industry, but they're doing a good job of building a game with some lasting appeal. No game will let me re-live the feelings that EQ gave me and I've come to accept that. This is the first MMO in a long time that makes me want to gather up a few friends and stay up way too late.

Some of you guys really get way too butthurt about this genre.

What exactly does parallax do btw?

I've been in Wildstar beta forever now, and I still want to know what that option acutely does.

Does it work like the IPAD shit, where it makes sort of a 3d effect? Because I can't tell any difference at all.

There's no way to know that untill the masses steamroll it. Lasting apeal in todays market is very tricky.

Well its also , who do you try to appeal to, the super hardcore or the casual to semi-hardcore. Will be interesting to see what they do. There is already a shit ton of stuff for a casual to keep busy for quite some time on just one character.

I will say having multiple pvp avenues right away should help keep players around, instead of just burning through pve and being done.

Having multiple non-combat options help also. They already have housing and its pretty damn robust but will see if they add anything to that.

A Parallax map is similar to a Normal map but designed for static objects such as rocks and scenery elements. It makes scenery pieces look more detailed than they are. Look at a bridge, building, or static object, you should see a difference between parallax maps on or off. They could also be using it for a more 3D looking skybox.

So - as neutral as possible - how twitchy/carpal tunnel/spammy is the combat? On a scale from WOW to Tera.

After the first few hours my initial excitement took a turn and I started to hated the Tera combat model and GW2 also was a bit to "press a key every half second". I loathe combat where I have mash keys nonstop.

I ask because I watched the gamebreaker guy on twitchyesterday playing some ... pistolero mouse? and basically all he did for an hour running around spamming the same shot all the time dodging what looks like some ridiculous over-exaggerated ground effects (like some 2m roots, his char being 50cm tall).

I love the art style, . not sure If I like the combat - and that is 90% of what you are doing in nowadays MMOs.
