Any opinions on difficulty yet? I appreciate a good challenge (Dark Souls/Bloodborne), but don't enjoy ball busting for the sake of ball busting. Someone mentioned Death March was leaning more towards the latter.

Holy fuck this game is cool looking on the PC. I really hate the horse controls tho. Bitch gets stuck on a pebble.

Anyone know how you can unlock the 60 fps?

Turn off vSync and under frame rate move the slider to the far left - until it says "Unlimited"

Seems good. Too early to tell still, need several hours with it. Sems way more open than previous titles, nowhere near as long an intro. Im enjoying the hour ish ive had with it thus far.

Graphics are fantastic on pc at 1440 p downscales to 1080p

Decent game so far, very talky. Took on a pack of wolves and a pack of ghouls, also got in a fistfight with a few mooks. Combat seems okay but it is a lot of whack whack whack dodge. Oh also cleared out that place of power Wraith that some you tube dude showed. That fight was a joke. Very solo MMOish at the moment.

Im enjoying the combat. Much improved over previous titles, nothing earth shattering but better is good, imo

Yeah I am using fraps.

2500k 770 GTX 4gb card with 8 Gb ram - half settings at ultra, half at high, 1200p, maintaining 40 FPS.

Obviously not as good looking at what we were led to believe, but still looks good. Fun so far

I am not sure why they needed to go bonkers about it with retarded "in game footage" marketing shots which pissed me off. BUt I wonder if NVIDIA had anything to do with it. Microsoft tried the same shit with the Conan review so...

Also, make sure to turn off vsync or you will get stutter issues.

I notice zero difference between ultra and high with that said, and very limited Ambient occlusion options. Also the anti-aliasing sucks but at 1200p I do not notice it much.

Music is fantastic.

Enjoying the story so far, very pulp detective novel in a medieval setting.

Usually these open world games skimp on the story.

I can run the game quite well all maxed out, but I immediately turned off motion Blur. That is one terrible feature. Also turned off Vignetting ( all it does is make the corners dark, I don't even want that.)

Turned off the hair simulation also because it doesn't look good to be honest, and it's distracting.

For people that a) haven't preordered, b) haven't purchased digitally and c) live in areas where Gamestop is still open, they're selling the game now. Probably common knowledge, but if not, there ya go. Got mine (yeah, yeah PS4 peasant) with no issues around 8:30 est.

Yeah no motion blur, vignette or hair shit here either, everything else full max. The game looks great to me, personally.

Anyone else on PC getting a crash every 5-10 min or so? The screen will just go black, I'll hear a repeating audio for a few seconds, then I have to reboot. I just installed new GeForce drivers today that were released for this game. /shrug

What generation is your video card? I think I saw something on Steam forums with someone having frequent crashes like you're experiencing. Probably that forum's moving too quick to find the thread again but at least you know you're not alone now.

I had to stop for the night, enjoyed the few hours I got to play. The game is damn gorgeous. And from what I've seen so far, story, side quests, combat and everything seems to be good. I'm not making much progress though, I'm stopping for every thing I can harvest.
