Servers don't really matter anymore you can be in a guild with anyone of any faction and group with em.
I know, but you probably need to get the list down to a more manageable level if you are just going start sending people messages like "I saw you had a score on RaiderIO close to mine. I'm a tank and PuGs are killing me, yall know of any regular groups that are often looking for a tank around *the times I play*?"

Some people might even give leads on more exclusive Discord channels that have a large base of decent players that like to communicate. Discord makes the game so much better.

I dont think anyone wants to commit to a group member in mythic+ based off a forum post. Especially an obligating one like FOH. Probably for the same reason you haven’t linked up with the guild. But say something in community chat, and if people are on - I have no doubt they’ll take a shot at giving a solid, consistent tank a chance.

I'm still not playing this xpac and probably wont play this game again. I'm not going to buy a new MMO mouse because it's useful for 1 game for 1 month every two years, and not going to learn how to play without one when I have 15 years of muscle memory associated with it.

I meant for Chris, since he is on EU and the only way to get out of the toxic PuG rut is to find a more permanent group of people. If he was playing on US he could at least try playing with yall and you could evaluate his gamepad turns.

So warbands have definitely increased the longevity of this expansion as a solo gamer. Not only because I can more readily trade stuff between characters, but because factions and delve progression is shared across the warband. I got to Champion 4 on everything for my mage and thus hit a progression wall, but I just switched to playing / gearing up other characters while still moving the rep and delve bars.

If they were smart they would use the NPC dungeon tech to enable Warband Mythic whereby a person could just bring all their alts with them to do higher difficulty shit.

Would likely have to do some variant reward scheme for this as people would get annoyed that people could just solo versus having to group with toxic bitches.

So I created a new char (they start at 10 now?), made it to the new expansion, am now 74 with a weapon I probably got in my 50s as a warrior.

AH weapons SAY lvl 70 requirement, but when mailed have a level 80 requirement
No world events giving a weapon as a reward.

I'm 74 now and like 100 quests in to War Within with ZERO weapon quest rewards. Scaling is starting to fuck me at 74. What do? lol

They broke the Auction House, same thing happened to me. You can search up a list of gear rewards from treasures and find one that drops a weapon.

Buy one off the AH. The story gives a weapon as one of the early quests but sounds like this is an alt so not doing the story.

There are tons of items on the AH between 80 and 70. Might be a pain to find them due to the level bug, but they are there. Look at ilevel, not equip level.

There’s a rare 2H pickaxe that you can grab that’s level 71 that’s a ground pickup. It’s in Isle of dorn in the kobold area just east of Dornogal.

In the past, the game was so easy it wasn't usually worth the time to go hunting for upgrades. In some cases, it was detrimental to pick up the shit found on the ground, as ~50% of those items would scale to your level, so if you waited till max level, you could fill in low ilevel slot greens with starter max level blues.

On the other hand, if you have fast flying already and handy notes and your gear is super trash, maybe it wouldn't take too long to grab a few items.

I think gear in the 71-79 range is almost non-existent, because.. unless I'm wrong - there just isnt a way for any highly skilled crafter to make it? Like my Blacksmith, I specialized in armors first. So a lot of that stuff is just R4 from the very get-go, without using HQ mats. Unless there is a mat that you can get like a Missive that retards the item level a bit so you can make <540 gear?

I just dont know cause I never really played DF more than a handful of days so this crafting system is still something "new" to me. I like that you can go to the Crafting Order's NPC and basically build whatever item you're looking for though, and see what it looks like and what materials are needed to get it to the item level you want it to be at. ... I do not like the fact that you can only have two embellishments equipped, though. Theyre pretty fucking weak tbh, and I havent seen where any specific one changes any playstyle past the "you now do more damage!" on the first one, and the second one being "Your embellishment now does twice the amount of damage!" ... Or it raises stats, or something else thats passive and barely noticeable.

I've always wanted the option to be able to rip off a trinkets passive effect in a weaker form. Like, now you get an absorb shield with this embellishment that shields you for 1.3 million HP with a CD of 2 minutes, instead of a 2.6 million HP shield in the trinkets original power. Shit like that sounds way cooler, even though more troublesome. But sure, I guess its way easier to balance something that is essentially 0.05% difference in your survivability or DPS.

Best way to gear up while leveling is delves, delves, and more delves.

Quests don't reward gear while leveling? I meant the game is so easy, that is all you need, everything else is generally a waste of time if your goal is to get characters to max level. By the time you go back to town, fuck around with the AH (and mailing/bank tab shit) then get back to where you were, you could have had half a level or more. No pieces of gear are going to make up for that time.

For third+ alts in DF my goal was to get trade skills going so I could do trade skill weeklies for trade skill talent points, so I had each alt sitting at 60 with trade skills leveled up to the tier where they required stupid expensive combines (in the first week or two there was an exploit to take skills to max level for almost no cost, so got LW and BS to max that way). Just doing trade skill shit got me to 61/62/63 before ever touching a quest. I think my gatherer was even 65 w/o ever doing a single quest, when I quit.

LW and BS both had various items of gear for leveling for those trade skill alts, when I went about leveling them. Like bracers and gloves were 62, boots were 64, pants and chest were 66, etc. JC had rings and a neck with early 60s reqs and Tailoring had cloaks somewhere in there too. I had to make all those items to level up those trade skills or for the daily/weekly quests, so I kept a set for each alt, and probably DEed 100s of what I didn't keep.

The gearing between 70 and 80 is terrible, stop saying it isn't. It's actually making me not want to level alts.

You can self craft 3-4 pieces, delve gear is random and weighted towards cloaks and trinkets. You need to google specific quests, treasures or rares to pick up anything specific you need like a weapon.

Weird, for like the last 3 or 4 xpacs I played, I think a weapon was one of the first quest rewards they gave you and it may have even been a blue. Like the intro quest for the xpac.

I've done both ways in the past, take my primary or first alt and go around getting a few pieces of gear before leveling up, or just loading up the optimal leveling path add-on, which auto accepts quests, tells you where to go with arrows, and has prompts on what to do. Following the guide and not stopping to "gear" up was always faster. Hell, once I had a piece of gear in every slot from the new xpac quest rewards, I wouldn't even look at gear rewards until 3 levels from the cap. The mod had an option to auto pick gear by gold reward.

What I am saying is the gear hardly mattered when leveling up via quests, and the add-on that gave the optimal path was the fastest way to level up, if that is the goal (in the past 4 xpacs, at least).

I really think the cloaks and trinkets loot in delves is bugged. I have gotten some, but not on the level of what other people have reported. I've gotten a nice variety of useful loot while my friend has gotten nothing but cloaks and trinkets. Something is broken.

I got my fourth piece set today from the vault. I just need some better rings/trinkets/neck now for the most part.
