Yea, but there is usually some sort of recall mechanism, so it's a place for people to gather. And other games add more places to put things, so portals or other stuff. Basically becomes town for the guild, if it's implemented well. Otherwise I agree it's just a dumb decoration place.

If they put some actual functionality with it, it will do the same thing as FFXIV and become a hub for RPer's and degenerates. I would like to see them add functionality that would be like Warframes guild housing - but I seriously doubt we'll ever see a resurgence in guild affiliated skills and recipes. That whole system seems to be a forgotten stepchild.

BoozeCube The housing expansion isnt even the next expansion coming out. Midnight, the expansions name, is after the next one. So we're talking 3 and a half to 5 years from now. Who knows what tf we'll be playing by that point, if we're playing games at all. Them dropping a teaser for it is insanely early and ... seems out of touch.
