Funny enough, the garrison kept me logging in obsessively on days when I had no other reason to play. And it was tied to city chat so.. never really cared all that much about not seeing people standing around.

But to answer you question, I have no idea if class halls will be the hub or if there's a reason to stand around in Dalaran.

Also, I STILL don't have the goddamn int heirloom ring. Should I be keeping treasure missions clear?
Yes, you have to keep all treasure missions clear to "pop" it. I ran 11 characters through a shipyard for months and only got the last ring about a month ago.

Also, I play primarily a druid and a paladin and I'm pretty annoyed. I'm losing stampeding roar on both resto and moonkin; at least boomies are moving away from the "I am really playing against the UI and not the boss" but an innervate I can only cast on others in place of stampeding roar? Thanks for making me a vanilla healer bitch again, douchebags. I will never put it on my hot bar.

The ring missions won't show up unless you have unlocked the ghost crew ship equipment ( spyglass ) - have to get it off the cursed captain in tanaan, and it's not a 100% drop. I don't think you actually have to put it on a ship, but that might be worth trying if you have it and haven't done so.

If you've done that, just bad luck probably.

It took me probably 2 months after getting the STR and INT rings before I got the AGI ring. Just try to keep all of the 'RARE' Coin/Left Shark missions clear and it will pop eventually.

Oh fuck. I didn't know this. Is there anything else like this that would help prior to legion I might have passed over?

I don't think the rings scale to 110 do they? I thought only the BoA trinkets from Mythic dungeons were for Legion.

That doesn't stop the xp bonus, does it?

edit: not sure the rings have a bonus to xp, but I mean heirlooms in general.

Its rare I just finally got offered the str ring one last night. I got my int ring like 3 months ago from the naval stuff.

You can upgrade them to bring you to max level of WOD. I am guessing they will not add in the booster heirloom stuff in legion for a patch or two after it is released.

I've been running through every interesting class to get their available artifacts on the alpha, in hopes that I'll find one that doesn't make me want to kill myself.

*DH, even though they have no rotation right now, feels the smoothest out of what I've tried so far.

*UH DK has 2 strikes, deathcoil, and your pet. It sucks.

*Fire Mage feels like a glass dildo, not a glass cannon.

*Fury warrior has a bunch of the same yet renamed abilities, RNG as fuck, still.

*Arms warrior felt fairly solid, but also like you were in a tub of molasses...so slow. I'm sure that'll change with raid gear and shit, but jesus christ.

*WW monk is actually pretty fun. The new mastery combo system actually gives you something to think about when dpsing instead of MASH BUTTANZ. Don't hit the same ability twice in a row, boom, more

*Affliction lock...well...so long warlocks. Spam unstable affliction...that's 40% of your damage.

*Slight back story here on the last one. I have always hated paladins. Always. Fuck faggot paladins in their gay poop chutes. I finally leveled one past level 10 at the end of cataclysm, just because it was the ONLY class I had left to max. So naturally, I end up playing that same god damn character in MoP because we were a 10 man guild and we lost a healer. Fine, that's fine. So I heal/dps. Then at the end of ToT our tank quits...and now I have to tank. But hey I've already got a semi geared character I'm already raiding with so why not. Then they nerf the absolute fuck out of prot pal dps in SoO...of course...right after I switch to it.

I get pissed, say fuck that shit I'm going prot war. Then prot war gets shit on in WoD, of course, because I switched to it.

So last night I'm like "Well...I guess I'll try out legion ret paladin because with my luck it will be the most glorious fucking thing in wow ever".

It is. Legion ret paladin right now makes my dick hard. It's fluid, it feels like you're a real fucking paladin, and you get Ashbringer.

Yeah I think a lot of people are going to go ret like it's Ulduar again. I planned on going back to main my paladin just because the whole ashbringer thing makes their playstyle sound pretty fucking cool

I havent taken the time to try them out yet on the alpha though, just played around as the DH mostly but they're pretty boring? like they need a lot of work in the next 6 months.

The XP bonus stops at the max level of the heirloom item. So if the item only goes to level 100 (which is the maximum level of all the heirlooms except the new mythic dungeon trinkets) it will not give you bonus xp once you hit 100.

Blizzard adds some type of upgrade mechanic that is purchasable/obtainable by max levels of the current expansion. So a 110 will have way to upgrade the heirlooms for your other characters at some point.

Yup I would anticipate they only add those heirloom upgrades to 110 though until they see a lot of people going through it legit as its mostly there for alt catchup.

I'd hold off some in any case - heirlooms were drastically less useful in WoD due to the low level requirement on the crafted gear.

Lol yeah. "Thanks for the Garrosh heirloom weapons that were 620 at level 100, but I'll go ahead and use this crafted level 91 required 630 weapon."

Just curious. I'm paid up through halfway of 2017, but I have nothing to spend gold on.
Yesterday, I thought I had a bug. Opened mailbox, ran postal, nothing. Click on mail from AH, money doesn't get out. 2nd mail, no problem.

Ok, log/relog, nope. No addons? Nope. Ok, I'll see later. I get to the table, click finish... all missions finish except that 400gold one who shows "Skipped". And I'm... uhhh? Skipped is only for...

... for the currencies...

... that I exceed the maximum possible? Wot?

It turns out you can't hold more than 999,999 gold (and 99s + 99c). Ok, time to start filing an alt's pockets now...

(with 10 alts running 14+ treasure hunters, even with the EU AH gold price for tokens, you still fill up fast)

Yeah, the cap has been at 999k for a while now and for some reason the cap on gold when you xfer is still at 50k. Pretty fucking stupid to be honest.

I assume the cap is 50k because they don't want to introduce huge quantities of gold on ghost town servers.

Maybe, if being able to sell tokens wasn't a thing I'd agree. Gold isn't super hard to come by compared to how it used to be at least so it doesn't matter entirely but I still find it silly.

I wish I could play in Alpha, so I just base my observation on other people reports.
My class (monk) is going to suck large hairy dicks, this because I don't play Windwalker and don't give a fuck about it in general, but the pruning of Brewmaster skills and the complete shitty abominable redesign of Mistweaver, makes me want to kick in the balls the designers until they end up in their throat, so they can choke on them.

They made the most fun healer (MoP mistweaver) shift to a mediocre, but still interesting one (WoD mistweaver). Now in Legion it becomes a shitty generic healer, without any interesting mechanic, with the worse selection of utilities ever thought and losing the feature that made it the most fun healer to play when content was not extremely difficult, aka fistweaving.

Brewmaster is losing: Guard, Expel Harm, Chi Explosion, Touch of Death (why, oh why?) and probably a bunch of other skills which I forgot, even the fucking statues are becoming talents. If there is a redeeming feature of WoD it's been in tanking: it was never so fun before, exactly because I didn't need a healer babysitting me 100% of the time and I could stand against dangerous stuff on my own for a short while if I played correctly.

Legion class design has been made by a drunk dev during a diarrhea attack, it stinks so much of poo that this must be the only logical explanation. Of course paladins are never included in this shitfest, they must be the beloved children of WoW. Woe me for switching faction and class, maybe I should just go back to the orgasm that is holy/protection paladin (I should have learned during WotLK).

At my age I doubted I could get so pissed off at design decision for a videogame, but I truly love WoW, it's certainly the game I played the most in the last 11 years and the one I still try so hard to love even when design is done by monkeys flinging poo on a drawing board, I can't just avoid venting.

Anecdote on why it was better back in the days: the other day I ran vanilla dungeons on a level 40ish character. Having no run speed boost as a warrior, I couldn't even dps on most trash mobs, they were being killed while running by monk/priest/mage and posed absolutely no challenge whatsoever even in massive quantities. As a fury warrior I could even solo 2 or 3 by myself if I happened to stumble upon a few stragglers. Stratholme has been cut in less than half, Dire Maul allows for pulling half the dungeon at once, bosses in general tend to live below 10 seconds. After 2 or 3 runs I was so sad I had to stop.

Monks are already one of the least played classes and unless they're buffed into FOTM level they're going to go extinct in Legion. Those changes make absolutely zero sense to me. The two Monks in our raiding core decided they were rerolling for Legion the moment those changes were outlined.

The Mistweaver stuff is the most puzzling to me. I had a Monk healer alt I was playing just to do something different and I loved it. Why take away features? To normalize healers? Then what the hell is up with the disc changes? Just puzzling all around.
