Rings are easier to obtain. The old one was only available via the fishing derby in strangle thorn. If you have a level 100 with the naval yard you can get an int/agil/str heirloom ring that give 5% boost to xp gain. There also is a great trinket that comes from the garrison that you can actually buy from other players. It comes in a bag and the bag is tradable. It has a right click effect of spawning tentacles and that thing is just hilariously good leveling up on any sticky boss fight or soloing if you get in trouble.Cool, so were any new heirloom slots/items added in MoP/WoD?
Shadow priestBut what would I play?!!!
There's a quest line to unlock the farm at around 85-86 in MoP (at Halfhill in Valley of the Four Winds) but you can skip it if you want. It's only useful for growing MoP level tradeskill mats and possibly leveling cooking. Also what do I need to know about MoP and WoD? I know there is some shit called a garrison or farm or whatever, when should I start worrying about that?
You have to in order to activate them I believe, since they'll be the old school ones. Nowadays you get a full interface where they're stored. You basically go through the whole collection, and can click/summon whatever gear you've added to it.I seriously have to log into all the characters that have the heirlooms on them to get them to show up in my collections panel?
Well I'm set for gold on my old server Korgath, but I made this character on Hyjal because I thought that was where the guild is. By the way who can invite me? Logged in as character name Khapp at the moment. Garrison unlocks during the starter WoD quests at 90, it's impossible to miss and there's no way you can screw it up. Anything you build can be replaced by another building if you change your mind. Since you seem to be set for gold I'd recommend Bunker/WarMill for large building (doubles chances of item upgrades from quests/treasures and lets you build follower equipment), Lumber Mill or Trading Post for medium building (garrison resources are pretty scarce without these when starting out), and whatever for the small buildings (your profession, or enchanting hut to DE stuff if you don't have enchanting).
I'm using Bartender, which is what I'm used to.What's a good hotbar mod?
