Question regarding WoD's insta-level 90 feature. Is it limited to a one-time use on a character or is it anytime to any character newly rolled or otherwise?

Is LFR worth doing for these extra abrogator stones and chance at loot? I like raiding but only if it isn't a shitshow mess of constant wipes and banging my head against a wall just for some weekly quest.
You'll blow through everything except maybe Archimonde. You get a 5% stacking buff that boosts DPS, healing, and HP every time you wipe though so eventually you'll down him even if you get a shit group.

I'd say the 2nd to last wing (with Iskar, Socrethar, Tyrant) is far worse in LFR than Archi. Some folks are just so bad at the trash in these halls leading to Socrethar and Tyrant, let alone the fights themselves. Ghosts running rampant, no one interrupting casts, multiple construct phases, etc.

Wiping over and over again to trash mobs; it fills you with determination.

The best advice I can offer for LFR fights is always give whatever else you can attack priority over the boss. The only time that's not true is if you're melee and fighting Socrethar (and even then you might consider it!). As mentioned above, Soc is a huge pain if someone who doesn't know what they're doing pilots the construct and/or no one interrupts Soc's dominance.

I broke down and paid 50k For a Heroic Archi run. Got my Moose and even got the trinket. I figure I can get the 50k back in about 1 week, so it was worth it.

I see them advertised as "running every 15 minutes" for 30k on A52. Which makes me wonder who in the fuck wants such a pittance of gold enough to run that shit over and over.

Those are cross server Chinese farm teams. They put you as a b.net friend and you go in a queue.

Yeah I just paid 30k for an alt to get Archy last night (my main is 10/13 mythic) because I was curious how it worked and I'm sitting on 1.2 mil gold and subbed through April 2018 so wtf else am I gonna spend gold on? Anyway I gave the guy 30k, he invited and I got a summon within a couple minutes and was looting a boss a couple minutes later. No idea how they're shuffling the gold around as I was on ner'zhul and this guild was on thrall.

The groups running those constant Archi carries are either buying game time or battle pets. We hit those sales pretty hard right when the mount was released and made about a million for the guild bank. We've talked about starting up one of these cross realm spam jobs but I don't really have the patience for it.

I noticed a lot of groups will only accept gold from certain servers as well. I'd imagine battle pets are the go-to when it comes to that. Before 7.0 drops I wonder how many mythic runs are going to be sold, cause I'd likely buy some but so far all of them want you to message them on skype first and lmao no thanks

M Archi down for a 2nd time. Only took a night of pulls. Relearning Mannoroth sucked way more.
Same thing for us. Had some shuffling of the roster after the first archi kill due to people bailing for other guilds and tanks having to go MIA. So training a new MT or two was a pain, along with some others. But still 2 weeks in a row to get the place cleared and still had nights off for the week.

I really feel like once you've killed it, Archi is easier than Manno. So much shit going on during manno that can go wrong.

Agreed. I think in all 3 of our Manno kills we've had a cheesed doomcaller and if we're going to require that each time that's just awful RNG to count on.

While cheesing it certainly has helped us. We've killed him a few times without it. Usually it is people not stacking for imps right or gaze screw ups at the last minute.

Hardest part of arch is just making sure people swapped to infernals and when to ignore the focus or whatever the pushback Crystal thing is called. But it gets easier every week and our alt run is going to try to start pushing mythic.

Any recommendations on a sub $200 video card for WoW? My old Radeon 6850 (or is it a 6870)? Is getting a bit long in the tooth.

I used to be in a 2-3 ish year refresh and really felt by the time I hit the third anniversary of a given machine that I got a massive performance boost from the new machine. I'm actually a bit frustrated that a computer I put together back in 2011 is still running things pretty damn well. Granted I haven't seen Legion yet, but given how well the ole battleaxe runs other recent titles I am not too worried.

I think VR will be the thing that really gets me to update my shit
