It's not OK to mock them over shit they didn't say and don't believe. That's just being an asshole, and it does more harm in terms of distracting from actual rape that what the feminists are doing.
I mean, all the "stare rape" comments are stupid too, but at the very least "stare rape" is a phrase that HAS been used by some feminists. It makes some kind of sense to mock the idea of "stare rape" because you're making fun of an actual stance that you may believe actually dilutes the idea of rape. But when you mock a stance that itself was mockery, you're just proving that shitting on people is more important than having a good reason to do it.

There's no way Cosby will be found guilty of anything, legally. It can't happen at this point. Discussing whether or not he's legally guilty of rape is pointless. Basically, these women decided that they wanted their stories to be known. They felt an injustice was done and people should know about it. They have nothing else to gain. We have no reason, literally no reason to believe any of them are lying. So yeah, we're never going to see a shred of hard evidence that Cosby raped anyone, but that doesn't mean we have to assume he's innocent. We are not a jury deciding whether or not he is going to jail, we are the public that has heard the disturbingly similar stories of many women who have nothing to gain but much to lose by sharing their experiences. Personally, I tend to not assume several women I don't know are lying about being rapedjust because. These stories have been around for a long time, even if we're hearing more about them now, and it's extremely likely there's something to them.

I think you're confusing "proof" with "reason to believe". We have plenty of reason to believe they're telling the truth. The similarities between their stories, for one. The fact that actresses who played the Cosby kids' friends had their own stories about creeper Cosby, for another. Perhaps more significantly, the fact that these women have absolutely nothing to gain by lying about this. Heck, just them talking about this has already made them bad guys in your mind and the minds of many others. They're probably going to come out from this worse off than Cosby, since they don't have millions of dollars and publicists to shield them.
I hate to bring up Occam again, but do you really believe it's more likely that all of these women are lying about something they stand nothing to gain from, or that a rich and powerful guy abused his power and money to do unscrupulous things to get his dick wet?
