It's peculiar how most of these Fukushima panic stories come from the crazed super far right wing paranoid websites. Very peculiar indeed.

Radiation isn't even bad for you in these amounts. Especially for the half of you that never see the god damn sun.

I don't know which gives me the biggest headache: labeling hydrovolcanic explosions as nuclear explosions or claiming the tremors have been caused by fuel melting its way 9.9 km deep.

God forbid the earth just shake all on its own all the time overthere.

my article is written by a Physical Oceanographer at the Joint Institute for the Study of Atmosphere and Ocean at the University of Washington.

Because taking two data points: One cruise - "lots of shit" Second cruise ten years later "almost zero shit" - isn't a valid method of data collection? Whereas sitting on your ass and writing an article in Seattle based on 2011 and 2012 data is totally valid for 2014?

a guy took 2 sea cruises and saw less shit on the second one. this makes anecdotal evidence look like hardcore scientific proof

her article is buttressed by plenty of studies and statistics, all cited. im sure she visits the oceans plenty as is mentioned in her biography.

do not be upset, taddeus.

Tad, if you are this far off base about the death of the Pacific ocean, imagine how wrong you are going to be about McQuaid's new MMO.

Well, Yellowstone going to explode pretty soon... I'll start that one next year. Or a mod could rename this the Doomsday thread instead of having multiple threads.

I don't even know where to start, lol
Fukushima and Solar Flares are much higher on the concern scale - though Yellowstone could have a small scale eruption anytime, super eruption probably not happening for a couple thousand years, but you never know. I wouldn't buy a house in Colorado.
