This is what i have to put up with every single day:

this from a TSOE dude whose alliance cant even be fucking bothered to show up to help -7- or anyone else defend thier assets.

do me a favor.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on that point Equinox, however I'm sure there's more proper channels for you to cry about how TSOE is not giving it's due in Providence.

Like, Provibloc wouldn't have to defend those assets if Provi FC's didn't have a donkey up their asses every time a fleet gets together.

Example of yesterdays cap fleet and philosophy I follow:

Background: Triumvirate and It's only pixels drop 15 Wyverns+Revenant +10dreads and escorts on a 49GC Jump Bridge tower and reinforce it. No response whatsoever from Provi. We're blue-balling them.
Come yesterday, the tower is getting out of reinforced status so a fleet is made. About 200 subcaps and ~80 caps (no supercaps), Triumvirate does a no-show i.e. they aren't going to go for the tower, so the Provi FC decides, that since Triumvirate isn't showing up, we'll be dickheads and head to them. We jump into Hasateem and RF a tower, lose ~40bil and kill ~60bil worth of ships.
The catch? All those caps wouldn't have to die IF we had just one command dessie to jump the two interdiction probes out in front of station that the entire cap fleet was caught in when cyno went up (after the initial 10 Dreads jumped in and RF'd the tower).
Bravo to their brave single Saber that was stationed in front of the station we were docked in.
Boo to the FC for splitting up subcaps and caps. Or for having some anti-bubble warfare ready.

Now, my own philosophy is kinda contradicting with this, since personally, if the enemy isn't coming to us, fuck them. I'm not going to piss in your vegetable garden just because you piss in mine. I'll cut your dick off when you do it in mine, but won't stoop down to your level.
So Provi fleets go poke the sleeping bears in wherever all the time and then they're surprised when other people reinforce citadels and such as a response. With Supercapitals and shit.

Now that Volt has gone full NBSi (happening today at 23:59 EVE time), the overall feeling is that we'll be clashing with them shortly, even though both Equinox and Core have stated that no such action will be forthfocming. Knowing Equinox, he could lie to you about raping your wife while still having his dick inside her, so I know that's bullshit. Core isn't much better. He's a dellusional idiot who thinks he has the best people in his Alliance, but manages to recruit all the worst possible scumbags in EVE Universe.

Guess I'm slow. Just realised someone spelled Trump as a giant billboard outside of Jita with mobile depots lol.

Yes I'm an odd guy. Was listening to the bitching about how hard to the blood raider sits were for people not in a super expensive ship. I was doing a them in my ishtar so I took a different direction for shits and giggles. Did one in my procurer.

60k ehp and 50% damage and hitpoints to drones. The frigates went really fast and the cruisers didn't take that long, but I wouldn't want to do it if had been contested. Got a BC spawn and not a BS spawn. Of course I have a shitload of drone skills which probably helps.

Anyway I'm odd like that. Runnig sites with a mining barge.

Still suprised how much people will pay for some shit. 50m for a pair of boots, 90m for the +12 accelerators. I kept all the +10 ones and with biology 5 they last 48 hours so I'm good now till they expire December 1st.

Glad I sold all the stuff from the sites in the first day and a half. Bottom fell out pretty rapidly and could get replacement if it's something you wanted after taking some profit. All in all I made just over 3/4 billion on these sites. Lots of people complaining aobut how crowded they were, I did them all in pretty dead systems, with most coming out of two systems with no station and it was normally just me or me and someone who is permanetly tethered at a citadel.

It was much more "challenging" than the purity sites. It was pretty fun.

Reinstalled for the first time since maybe 2011 or 12.

I want to try wormhole space for the first time just dipping in and clearing out some PVE.

Where to start? I think I still have a Tengu but it's been so long since I played I would probably get podded in 5 minutes.

Almost all Gallente minus some pirate faction skills, thinking of going with a Tengu myself.

You'll want to practice exploration, first. Get comfortable navigating jspace before you bring an expensive ship in. Basics like: keeping track of your chain, making safe spots, figuring out the local climate, being super-fucking vigilant when uncloaked...

Frankly, unless you're looking for PvP, I don't really see a point to soloing in a T3C. A PvE-fit T3C will get assraped by anyone looking for PvP.

I don't need to be in the Tengu just saying that those were the skills I had.

Do you suggest a specific path to go?

Is there a good "guide" to wormhole beginning I should read right away?

Mis-read your quote a few times. You're with Provi block? I've been with Vanguard for a few months now.

Yep. Your pets (Advent of Fate, who were probably hired on by entities inside Provi after Triumvirate pulled out) has been harassing one of our SOV systems for a while now with a standard "Looking for fights" technique. Reinforce Ihub, TCu, station, not show up for fights on reinforcement timer.

Gotcha -- yes, I very much recommend you practice in a T1 exploration frigate and move up to a Covert Ops frigate. If you're wealthy and don't care about losing Cov Ops ships then skip the T1. You'll need decent scanning skills, Cloaking IV to use Cov Ops cloak, and preferably Archeology/Hacking V. Assuming you are already familiar with scanning/hacking, a sample training run would look like:

  1. Fly to random kspace system.
  2. Scan out wormhole to a C1-C3.
  3. Fully scan out wormhole -- practicing using Tripwire or Siggy to document your findings.
  4. Go "deeper" in the "chain" by going into a wormhole within the wormhole. Confirm you know how to keep track of the chain and have a decent bookmarking system.
    • Bookmarks 101, my technique... not sure what others do: "Up chain" is always "Exit" -- so, when you first go into a wormhole you immediately bookmark the exit wormhole as "exit". "Down chain" is something like... [sig id] [type]... something like GER Null. This helps immensely if you're on the run or just moving quickly -- you always know the way out since its always Exit.
  5. Practice getting loot out of an exploration site. Remember -- you need to be using dscan every 1-3 seconds. This doesn't ensure you won't die but it might catch a sloppy hunter.
  6. Practice using 3rd party sites to figure out who lives in the hole and what times they're online. Personal anecdote -- I'd sit semi-afk and wait for explorers to come into my hole and try to get the loots... if they had bothered to check 3rd party sites they'd see a very distinct window in which many cov ops ships happen to die.
Once you're reasonably comfortable with getting into jspace and getting out with some loot, we can discuss other things to do.

Wormholes should have lots of picking now, the help channel is flooded with alphas who want to go to a wh and hack.

Kind of slacked off my WH week long jaunts. I might let it settle down a little and make another. Last one I wound up with 800m.

Did you ever get were you going last night? Last I heard was loss of a maurader :(

Alphas have been very good for the frigate building business. In the last 3 days I've sold right at a 1000 tristans and imicus frigates.

I've been back playing again for the past month and having a blast (even though I'm currently just doing PVE in HS). All the little quality of life fixes they have done over the years have made it a great game overall.

That being said, I've never been in a decent corp, save Red vs Blue which was a ton of fun for what it was. But what I really would like is to live in a WH with a decent crew of folks. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good WH (or null) corp? Doctrine doesn't matter, can fly almost every sub-cap with T2 weapons (and have np training up caps if needed by corp). Only need enough PVE to be able to fund whatever is needed for PVP.

Would love to be part of an FOH/rerolled corp, like on the EQ emu servers. But the few folks here that play seem to be pretty scattered around. But who knows, with F2P and alphas maybe it'll be an option soon.
