Went and bought the Blu-Ray today. Interesting the first store had a promotional stand / with Mad Max Fury Road artwork, signage etc on it. All the blu-rays sold out. So the stand was 2/3rds empty. Great to see the popularity, also continuing to add to the revenue of the film.

I went in to another place and good, they still had copies on Blu-ray. So I am about to sit down and watch it . . . Oh Yeah!!

Guy at my work watched this finally after hearing me rave about it for the last few months. He said it was the dumbest movie he's ever seen. All I could do was laugh hysterically at him.

Anecdotally, I feel I've met people who are divided into two camps, they say this movie is the greatest action movie in the last 20 years, or they don't get it. Of course, the population that don't get it bleed monthly.

You know shitty females then. I'm starting to be pretty sure I can instantly judge the character of a person based on whether they liked this movie or not.

I had a woman come into work a couple days ago. I said you look like you enjoy Mad Max. She goes "FUCK YA" -- it was a good day.

'Mad Max: Fury Road' Returns To IMAX For One Week Only - Forbes

Warnr Bros./Time Warner and IMAX have announced that Mad Max: Fury Road will be getting a one-week return engagement to IMAX screens starting on September 11, 2015. As was the case last week with Jurassic World, the relative lack of IMAX-friendly titles and the relative underperformance (or presumed underperformance) of the current occupant has allowed an older favorite to sneak back in. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. wasn?t exactly burning up the charts, so in went Jurassic World in its place...

Product of living near a location where Jesus and the two disciples only journey to Hell.

Due to some unfortunate events all stringing together these past few months, we weren't able to see all the movies we wanted to this year. So, for the wife's birthday weekend we got some awesome meatloaf and smoked wings at a local BBQ place, and rented mad max and John wick. It was *drum roll please* perfect in every way!

My wife has never even heard of mad max before seeing one of the trailers before age of ultron. She thought the colors looked great and wanted to see it having no idea about anything. I have her a pretty basic rundown of the character and she just said "oh, okay." I'm like woman you better be excited for this for real...
So anyways we saw it and she absolutely fell in love with it. Her only complaint was that she thought it should be called Furiosa Frees the Concubines or Mad Max Goes Along for the Ride. We loved how manic Tom hardy was, especially while he was trying to cut the mask off.

Anyways, women love the movie too

Watching it the other night with the woman on DVD, when the gladiator mask finally comes off Tom Hardy she suddenly exclaims, "There's that pretty face!". I think it was automatic, like I'm not even sure she knew she said it out loud.

In any case, she loved it.

Best Picture 2015.

Max looked like Daniel Craig while he had that mask on. I had a legitimately hard time seeing Tom hardy until the man came off

So true. If someone doesn't like this movie, they are probably a shitty person with shitty tastes in everything and their life probably sucks.
