Yeah, that was one of the things I hated most about online dating as well - how tedious it all was. It got to the point where I finally just put data in a speadsheet to figure out which openers had the best response rates, pictures, etc. and just streamlined it all.
The most helpful change for me was filtering out chicks who were simply using it as a validation tool.
