Hrmm, that seems way higher than what it costs here. It's about 12k annually max in these parts because you're providing room and board. Which means that you have a babysitter whenever you want.
The cost is fixed in the US it's a national program. Costs about $17.5k/yr. You can figure it'll cost you a few grand more than that because she'll eat your food, need a room to sleep in, drive your car now and then. But it's remarkably cheap for what you get.
You can see their pics and interview them before you match. If you're concerned about banging them you can always pick a fat/ugly one.

Yea thats the money you give the girl. There's a program fee you give the agency (about $7k) that gets her visa, vets them in their home country, pays for flights/training/etc. It adds up to about $17.5k.
I dated one for a little bit, she was a German illegal citizen so just did nanny work to make money. Just know that if you have an au pare, when you leave town with the kids, some dirty punk kid is going to come to your house and put it in her butt.

The ones that are in-country already are the ones getting rematched from another family. And I'll just tell you that there's usually a reason they're getting rematched. Sometimes the host parents are crazy and sometimes the girl is crazy. Sometimes both. But usually if you pick up a rematch there's a couple of things working against you: 1> short selection time. From the time the host parents kick them out they usually have 2-3 weeks at most to find a new family, or they're going home. Which means 2> you will only have a few of them to choose from at any given time. And they may not meet your language/driving/personality needs. And 3> you won't get the full year out of them, so once you get them used to your family and the kid likes them, they're leaving again. Better to just get a new one and get your year (or 2 if you extend.)
