Nfl.com original report was reserve retired list, hour later reports of june 1st cut.
Remember I said it would be retarded to cut Romo and not try and trade him and they wouldn't cut him right away. His being cut was imminent since February, then it was on March 9 he would be designated June 1st cut. Only took him retiring from football to cut him, maybe it was a bluff by Romo not leaving that possibility out, which is why they should have retired/reserve listed him and retained his rights.

You're going to go down swinging I see. The reports were they weren't going to try and trade him, he was going to be cut in Febuary and then when it neared March 9 and they could officially June 1st him that's what was going to happen. Yet none of it happened, just like I said.
What's more likely, he was june 1st cut and managed to work out a broadcasting contract with CBS within short notice or he's been considering retirement and been in talks with CBS the entire time and the Cowboys June 1st cut him after he retired and signed with CBS to spread the cap hit over 2 years.
