They are when Nvidia does a paper launch. Fuck those greedy assholes. Is there a corporation with more aggressively worse practices? They are deliberately trying to recreate mining/COVID shortages market. This is a deliberate anti-customer/consumer tactic. I was considering buying a 5080 this time but truly Fuck these guys. They are now on my Intel "don't ever fucking buy again" list. It took Intel a decade of mismanagement to fall off their perch, though; Jensen may be an asshole but he isn't stupid.

Well, there's one I can definitely think of. Two if you count Comcast. Honestly, on the scale of terrible companies, Nvidia doesn't even register.

Yes. iirc it was Nvidia squeezing ever more margin out of cards so they said fuck it will just sell other stuff that has much higher margin.

I was wondering "What the hell is wrong with United Airlines?" but then I realized that they have the old Continental logo (I haven't flown much/at all since 2010). I have had United Healthcare more or less since 2000; They have always treated me pretty fairly but the Corps I have worked for probably has more to do with that that United themselves, given what I read.

That doesn't absolve Jensen and Nvidia of predatory behavior with 80+% of this market in particular, in particular given how much gamers gave them their start and fueled their meteoric rise.

People paying scalpers for these cards are the mistake. If no one buys them it's only a financial loss so then they don't bother.

Paper launch is a completely different problem, stupidity is the recurring one.
