QP can be good practice for mechanical stuff, but it really doesn't force any game awareness or synergy out of you. I found that QP reinforced a lot of bad habits that I had, specifically not grouping up, over-extending, and being more concerned about medals than positioning and staying alive. It can also be tough to tell when you're ready for prime time on a hero you don't play much. I played a bit of Tracer in QP for a few hours and tried to take it to comp and found that the gameplay I developed in QP didn't really translate when people were more organized and trying.
Upside in QP is you get people of real varied skill in there. I've been in games, being 2450, where you're playing against people that range from 3300 to 1700. Obviously it's not ideal and they're usually messing around, but you can occasionally get practice against some really solid people in QP.
Vald, what heroes do you play? We're at a similar SR and I wouldn't mind partnering up. I usually avoid the game chat/voice, but Discord is fine. Deruvian#1240
