After a few days away from competitive, mostly practicing Mei. I finally played competitive again last night, climbed to mid 2300, in what was mostly a win one, then lose one kind of night.
I did find the courage to play Mei in competitive in a game or two, it went very well, I am now confident I can play her and be an asset to the team. It adds another hero that I can play, so more versatility which means I can switch more and counter more stuff. I think it will help me climb a bit more and she is so much fun.

I bought some for Halloween because slutty Mercy skin and scary Ana were fun and the smokey Pharah skin is neat. Rest of the event skins have been pretty meh to me. But the skins rng for this event have been fucking awful. 6 boxes and just spray dupes.

Man I had a terrible run last night and to troll people I started autolocking Mercy on round 1 non KOTH and on round 2 regardless of win or lose I autolock Soldier and say "someone else heal" which resulted in some interesting games when people get yanked out of their comfort zone.

Started at 1400, and at 2300 or so now. I'm not playing as much as I want though recently. I always like to have 1 or 2 QP warm-up matches in me before I play competitive...and haven't had time for much more than my warm-up matches this week.
I hope for platinum...diamond might be a bit out of reach for me though both in time required to make it, and skills.

Some of the posts in this thread made me go find th is post from the reddit the other day. It's pretty interesting imo, it's basically a people playing characters they are good at are more likely to win than people playing characters because it's the right character to play
