Some of the posts in this thread made me go find th is post from the reddit the other day. It's pretty interesting imo, it's basically a people playing characters they are good at are more likely to win than people playing characters because it's the right character to play

I used statistical analysis on my Overwatch Competitive matches and found that the team with the higher win percentage won over 90% of the time. • /r/Overwatch

It makes sense. This happens in games like DOTA as well: People "know" the meta and assume if you don't pick the meta, you will lose. I would rather have a player who is a genji master playing that instead of them needing to switch to a mcree or 76 because "that is what is needed". All that matters is they get the job done on the character they are good with.

Finally got a fucking Mei legendary today. I was happy with that one. I have 3.8k to get 2 more, but its a last resort kind of deal.

What's the story with Lunatic Hai? What's wrong with talking to girls? Banned from Overwatch or that league thing?

So this event is 3 more days right? I gotta tear myself away from conan and do my weekly arcade boxes at least :D

From what I understand: LTJ. He would "talk the talk" but was found to not "walk the walk." He took a holier than thou approach saying it is foolish for esports stars to interact with fans. It turns out he was interacting with multiple simultaneous fangirls at once. Apparently this is a pretty big no-no in Korea as it is and the fact that he was seen as this beacon of morality only made the situation worse.

Dean. He didn't have nearly the rabid fangirl following of LTJ. Apparently LTJ is considered very handsome in Korean culture. Dean is seen as being beat to death with the ugly stick. But since he was on LH which was the "boy band" of Korean OW he could still use that influence to pick up chicks. His thirst was unrelenting and it seems the final nail in the coffin was that he was asking minor girls for nudes. From what I gather more people are upset with Dean than LTJ.

From a purely speculative stance Asian cultures are notoriously weird in regards to sexuality. So this isn't completely abnormal. However I wouldn't be surprised if Korean esports wanted to make live events a so-called "safe space" for young daughters to attend without their fathers worrying about it turning into the backstage of a Motley Crue concert. So they are even more harsh.

Koreans are weird about the perception of sex, and how it makes them look. But it's also the capital of abortion/STD's in Asia for a reason. "Love Motels" dot every city in Korea - a place where a white man like me can rent a room for 30 minutes, do my business and bolt. Sluttiest women I've ever seen, but you'd never think it given how prude they have to act publicly.

Finally got one of the two Mei legendaries, so I am done with skins this event. I wanted the Winston one, but got the Xmas one and think it's a bit better. I do like the Tracer & Mercy epic skins though so may shoot for those this weekend.

I don't understand the pricing of these at all. Why are Mei's so high? Do they do anything special?

About to get my first gold gun and thinking about what to get. Probably Ana as she has 2 I guess. I'm getting very very bored of good but straightforward characters like Zenyatta and Soldier despite them being my highest win rate. IDK I just play for fun and Ana's stuff is pretty great.

Funny, I was watching a bunch of streamers last night, Moon, B1rd and aimbot calvin. Calvin's aim was just a little too good. Went looking around - look at this fucking clip:

Sometimes it's hard to figure out what to emulate in terms of gameplay when you see this kind of shit. I did learn a thing or two about rocket jumping from his clips, though.

It is a coin-sink. All holiday stuff costs 3x what it would normally cost. IE, legendary skin usually 1k, but the holiday skin is 3k.

Woot. Diamond on smurf now, too. W/L on soldier S3 on both of these accounts is ~70%. I wonder where I'll finally shake out.

Had my first ever respectable Genji game where I was successfully hunting down my support targets and fucking their shit up.

22 kills, 2 deaths

I'm usually well under 10 kills when I try and play him :s

Yeah, the Hanzo ult arrow travels a distance before it goes off, and during that distance it can be reflected/absorbed etc

Do note this requires an enemy Pharah. Its not like you can do this with your Pharah + McCree.

Trying to get good at Pharah again (I used to be way back in beta) and I just feel like I can't land shit anymore. I think I got way too used to hitscans.

It also feels like you really need a little support, someone actually watching you for heals etc.

Is your "just bronze things" referring to your own mindset where you think medal matter and are a sign of being better than the rest of your team? If so I agree you seem very bronze.
