The Penguin

Finished it up today. This was a breath of fresh air. And I really like a show that is great throughout and doesn't fuck the ending. In fact, the ending really pulled it all together between the Vic scene and the hooker one.

In fact, if DC doesn't fuck this up, they might actually get me to watch one of their movies for once. I think the only one I ever watched was the 2021 Suicide Squad (not including Nolan's Batmans, but I honestly have no clue what the hell is supposed to be their "universe" since I feel like there's been at least 2 or 3 other Batmans since). I tried Aquaman but only made it maybe 15 minutes because it was so bad.

Clancy Brown was good as always, i was also interested in who Magpie was.

This is good. Batman is the only thing DC has that's worth anything. Some of the actual Batman stuff has been good but between this and Pennyworth HBO has some of the best Batman material in recent years and Batman isn't even featured in either

Batman works because even though he's plot armored to hell, he's human and most of his villains are human. Other shows are harder once you get to the absurdity of "powers" and shit. Once you have some guy that can lift 10 tons and is bullet proof, writing believable material goes into the shitter.
