If you take a series of civ off and then restart by then they will be giving away the base game for free and sometimes with several DLC for next to nothing when the next one comes out. I got Civ 5 and 6 that way.

I played the first Civ, just Civilization, on my first PC (Zeos 386 16Mhz) I bought in 1990.
Fake Edit: Civ released in 1991, so I must have played Railroad Tycoon first but I remember spending hours skipping classes playing Civ.

I remember playing civ 1 and someone showing me that the numpad worked to move diagonal. Blew my mind as I had used the arrow keys lol.

Still my favourite civ game to this day. Wish it was available on Steam.

Civ 1 and Sim City 2000 on our Macintosh were some of the best gaming moments. On a little 14” monitor too.

I never owned one of the old macs but had an Apple IIe and then used Macs in the college lab for a couple of years before I got my own PC. One thing that Apple, particularly Steve Jobs Apple has always done really well is the UI/UX; using a Mac was always great, even if the software wasn't always as good as PC.

Who the fuck does a review at release and puts pros and cons in separate videos instead of a combined good/bad video and getting to the point that they think it is a good or bad game. Worth it or not? This guy I guess.

Most say basically wait for a DLC if you want a complete experience. But I'm such a casual player so I dont really care. Something to do until Monster Hunter Wilds.
