EASILY the best movie in the franchise behind the 1st. It's right up there. Shit was crazy predictable, and it didn't matter because the ensuing shit was just awesome. The last dino fight was just fuckin awesome. It makes all the mediocre shit prior to that in the movie 100% forgivable. I will have zero regrets taking the kids, and having to sit thru this a 2nd time.

I had to see it in 3D (sold out 2D)...and it was surprisingly good.

Enjoyed it. Was no JP1, but better than the other two.

Biggest "WTF" moment I had, though was...

When all the fucking fish-eating pterosaurs start attacking people. I highly doubt they would have done that unless people were directly in their nesting territory. Albatross don't just attack people just because.

My friends and I are so gay for Pratt that we had to go to one of our places and watch Guardians of the Galaxy after watching this. He's definitely the best part of the movie.

And the Mesosaurus.

Way better than I expected. Loved it. First time in a while a theater has clapped. That's always awkward.

my niece got upset because she thought Pratt told Blue to go away. I explained that the raptor was giving him the "can I eat those kids, daddy?" look and he was just saying "nope." I'm not sure if this helped, heh.

Also grinned like an idiot when "new alpha" happened

For a movie like this, people have to make some dumb decisions for it to work. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the dumb decisions people made were surprisingly in character and most of them had reasonable motivations. The overall response plan for all hell breaking loose was stupid, but at least this wasn't Prometheus where biologists were taking their helmets off in an alien atmosphere and the cartographer was getting lost in the structure that he had just mapped.

The expectations were low and they were right. Ffs what a dumb movie. And I thought the raptor team was cringeworthy....I was wrong.
Plus, I want her shoes, even with high heels. Holy shit!
And nostalgia shit....yeah, I know what were you doing but that doesn't help your movie.
3/10 would not bang

Pretty fun flick, but a couple of things stood out

Kicked right in the feels when they stumble into the old visitor center and torch the banner
Dr Woo got off the island with all his shit, guessing to setup a sequel?
Buildup for the raptor team and they all died but one? Also the new alpha moment was awesome, but BS that they then turn around and fight for the good guys again a few min later.

Would see it again, but will never understand why they don't put explosive collars around anything that eats people

They all looked at Pratt before anything happened. Combined with them coming back and fighting at his direction later I think it implies they were actually waiting for him to direct them. Then the troops open fire and they scatter and end up doing what came natural for want of other instructions. He never lost his position as the alpha. Which is why the one that ate the rocket didn't attack.

fun movie. some of the acting and dialog was so bad though... i haven't wanted a kid to die so bad since game of thrones. kids running from dinos, we care. we don't need to know the unrelated drama in their lives to care about kids more.

Pratt and the visual effects were the only things going for this movie. i thought the raptors were better done in 1 & 3. the scene in 3 where the raptors wake up at night and take out some of the humans was better than what they did in 4. the effects where better, they just didn't use the effects as well.

i was waiting for trex to show up as soon as the new dino got out. the fight was a bit of a let down. in 3, the trex and the spino fight 1on1 for a ggood while, lots of tackles. in 4, the new dino drops trex instantly, and just about to do a death blow to the next, but then a single raptor jumps on it's back and the raptor is back in?

If the movie is out we don't need spoiler tags. And yeah I thought the Trex/Drex fight was a bit short, but if a Trex couldn't beat another natural apex predator, obviously it wasn't going to be able to beat some genetically engineered monstrosity.

Was enjoyable though. Obviously a lot better than 2 or 3 but I'd honestly say it was almost as good as 1, even if it didn't have the same magic the original did.

This movie is way overrated. Yeah Pratt was good and some of the end stuff with the dinos was good to but everything before that including the kids and setup was boring.

Pratt was great but they gave him a weak script. What a waste. And I didn't understand why they showed the bigger kid always checking out other girls, yes we get it, teens with hormones.
And still miss Stan Winston.

Movie was surprisingly good. Really felt like it is an real theme park that I wanted to go to.

Action scenes were awesome. Kids were meh but offset by Chris Pratt and the female lead.

2nd best film of 2015 so far behind Mad Max.

Don't get all the complaints about the kids. The kid(s) sucked in 1 and 2 also, 3 didn't really have a kid because the kid was basically just a small adult rather than a child. I'd rather they included some throwaway bit about 'mom and dad are getting a divorce waaaah' that never comes back up in the movie than some bit about 'im good with computers' or 'i took gymnastics' which leads to a painfully dumb 'ITS A UNIX SYSTEM' moment or a gymnastics kung fu scene.

Really enjoyed the movie. However I feel without a cast of memorable characters and engaging and meaningful dialog it won't stand the test of time like the very first movie. I have no real motivation to watch the movie again because it was mostly just strung together action scenes. Which is fine but doesn't make for the most re-watchable movie in the world for me. Still a fun movie I feel everyone should see.
