I went into my local grocery store and I saw them start to restock the machine. Instantly there was a guy in line. 20 mins later I was exiting the building, and there were 30 people in line... and they were still stocking the machine.

I went ahead and put in my order for everything else. Swore I wouldn't build my own this gen but looks like that's the ticket. Should be here Tuesday / Wednesday although no ship confirmation on the XT just yet.

Eh, MicroCenter is about OOS on the $599 cards now as well. I guess half a day of availability is better than the minutes of availability on Blackwell.

Tried to buy a 9070 XT for my kid this morning as soon as they showed up on Newegg. The accepted my order and then sent me an email an hour later saying they were cancelling due to being OOS. I didn't see that until this afternoon so I tried Amazon, which said they were still in stock. Got rejected when trying to check out.

Probably, mine got cancelled too. I think all the online outlets are out of stock. Microcenter had decent stock in stores earlier, but I think those are starting to run out. If I lived near one, I would have gone to get one, but I’m 4 hours away from the nearest.
Better launch than Nvidia, but there’s still a big demand right now. We’ll have to wait and see how fast restocks come.

I bought a 9070 XT today and ordered all the parts to make a Ryzen gaming PC, it has been ages since I built a new pc so hard drive, ram, CPU everything should be a good improvement. My prior card was decent at the time of purchase though - 3080 so I don't know how much better a 9070 xt will really be, but the overall package should be better in all regards. I will say it is funny that $800 nowadays gets you a mid range card.
